Is My File Uploaded When I Convert It?
For most conversions, no. Images, audio, spreadsheets, PDF-to-image and text recognition run in your browser, on your own device. Only formats a browser cannot process, and very large files, are sent to the server — over an encrypted connection — and they are deleted right after the download.

What Happens to a File on the Server
- It travels over HTTPS.
- It is written to a temporary folder, converted, and removed when the download is ready (large results: a few minutes after the download, in case it has to be resumed).
- It is not stored, indexed, shared, or used to train anything.
- No account exists, so files are not linked to a person.
How to Check
Each conversion page states where that conversion runs. You can also verify it yourself: open the browser's network tools, convert a file, and see that no upload request is made for in-browser conversions.

Do I need an account?
No. There is no sign-up, and no email address is asked for.

How long are uploaded files kept?
Until the download is ready. Large results are kept a few minutes after the download so an interrupted download can be resumed, then deleted.
